Suicide watch for 50% of the board on orangepower.com. Some, however, are adjusting well to their whupped arse status and predicting great things for the future.

They only need (1) an offensive line (2) defense (3) special teams (4) coach (hair gel is optional) and a different schedule. Other than that they are right on track as a program on the rise.

I still think Bowman is a heck of a receiver. He isn't Malcolm but he is very good.

The problem is that he plays for a mediocre team.

If you want some fun reading, go to Orangepower.com and look at all the "sky is falling" threads.
A few excerpts from that message board:
1. Gundy is happy to be mediocre
2. Bobby Reed is stupid and gets rattled easily
3. Zach Robinson doesn't get enough playing time
4. "we are a team on the rise" but we haven't "arrived"
5. Play calling sucks

I can't believe the "worlds greatest offense" could have so many issues:P

Come on, they're not on suicide watch......this is the norm for the Pokes. And by the way, I watched the 1st 15 minutes or so, before the Sooners came on and I loved the way the announcers kept calling them "Cow Pokes!" That was great. Anyway, the old poke motto "tomorrow" has been in use for around 100 years and it will work great in this situation also.....they be fine!

Please keep in mind that we go no huddle on offense. The defensive secondary of uga will get confused when we spread them out getting the d-backs one-on-one. I am sorry to say but I do not see uga stopping us at all. We may punt twice the entire game.

Color me shocked!!!!!!!!! NOT

Anyone who thought a lower level B12 team was going on the road to beat an upper level SEC (Craig Humphries, Bob Barry Jr. Greg Swaim, Robert Allen) is/was retarded.

MichiganSooner
9/2/2007, 12:35 PM
Elsewhere on this board, a quote is listed about an OSU fan bragging it is better to lose to a tough SEC team than beat a lousy opponent by 70 something. First, aggy, you got whupped, you didn't just get beat. Second, if you like losing to big, tough teams, then why are you playing Troy and Florida Atlantic?

And is Georgia favored to win the SEC? Have not read the preseason press clippings and they may win it with their sophomore/freshman dominated lineup. But aggy, in their league is Florida, Tennessee, Auburn, Alabama, LSU ...And the excuses of a night game, when it is hot and humid, in an SEC stadium...Big deal aggy, OU played a night game, it was 3 degrees warmer in Norman than Athens and they are in a drought; the humidity was at least as high. You either show up and play or get kicked and you got kicked.

I have all the respect in the world for Coach Gundy who summed it up pretty good. Something like, 'we are not ready for the prime time'.

He's got that one right. Can we say "worse than Baylor" yet?

Just a little fyi.....

Oklahoma State University–Stillwater, located in Stillwater, Oklahoma, is an institution of higher learning founded in 1890 as a land-grant university under the Morrill Act. Originally known as Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College (Oklahoma A&M), it is the flagship institution of the Oklahoma State University System.

On May 15, 1957, Oklahoma A&M changed its name for the final time to Oklahoma State University to reflect the broadening scope of curriculum offered. Branches have since been added in Okmulgee, Oklahoma City, and Tulsa to the Oklahoma State University System, with the Stillwater campus as the flagship institution.

I was at the game. OSU looked bad. UGA could have won by at least two more touchdowns. The Dawgs started running into the line over and over again with 6:00 left in the fourth and were inside the 30. Bobby Reid got rattled as per normal. The only way they got yards was on a few screens and stretch runs and 2 30yd pass plays. They definitely didnt show up for the second half. UGA looked really good. their new running back Knowshawn Moreno is the real deal as is Stafford. Defense was solid as always.

Definition of insantiy is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results. It happens every year. They run their mouths with the "future is bright", "program on the rise", "Gooners better be afraid", etc., Now they have added Texas to the group that should be trembling and tried to pull that on Georgia. Pokes, how's that workin' for ya?

Georgia has no reason to feel the contempt for them that we do or they would have beat them by another 2 touchdowns. Pukes should be grateful for southern hospitality.

On the semantics of "Aggy":

It is true that the Horns have invented and perfected the word "Aggy" to describe A&M and all who follow it. It is both singular and plural, both noun and verb. "Aggy" is so perfect, and so universal in its description of the state of aggieness, that its widespread use wherever Aggy exists is inevitible.

Many here use the term "AggyLite", or "DietAggy" to describe our retarded little cousins in Stoolwater, distinguishing that particular breed of on-the-rise, orange clad Aggy pumpkineer. But on a Sooner board, folks are going to know what you mean when you say "Aggy", whether or not the modifier is used.

Thank you for you attention.

For illustrative purposes, here is how an Aggy coach explains his pitiful showing on Saturday:

"I give Georgia credit, but I don't think they're the main reason we only scored 14 points,” Fedora said. "After looking at the film, we just didn't play well."

For the sake of your sanity, do not try attempt to find any logic or reasoning in this statement. Apparently, air, Xenu and Al Gore had more to do with the PUkes goosegg.
