For the North Texas game:

What will our first offensive play be, pass or run?

How many pass plays do you think we will run?

Will the #2 QB get any playing time?

I noticed in the ESPN Classic LSU game the announcer said "OU does not throw to the tight ends." We did not pass much to them last year either.

That makes the 3.1 question why are we not using the tight ends in passing situations?

1)Run

2)18

3) Doubtful, but it could happen. The optimist says yes, but the historian says no.

1. Swing pass to DeMarco out of the backfield.

2. 20. Can't help but throw a lot. We will be on the field a lot.

3. I hope they do.

Play action pass to one of the TE's

Yes, and it will be JH, per Wilson's remarks about being more comfortable with him.

1.) Play action to kelly or tennel down the field.

2.) 27

3.) Yes, near the end of the game. Maybe the last 2 offensive drives. It will be Joey, not Keith.

3.1) I think we see passes to the TE in the first 2 or 3 drives, but not so much after that.

1.) Victory formation, QB kneel.

2.) 25.

3.) Yes.

4.) The tight ends are going to have a monster year this season, just watch. I bet either Finley or Gresham makes all american status, ala Trent Smith.

Simple I-formation run up the middle with AP or Murray. Approximately 4-5 yards for AP (the bully), watch out if it's Murray (the big show).

If the running game goes smoothly as it should (see aTm 2006), I'll be no more than 15 pass attempts. Sam will only be called upon to keep drives alive in this one. I see Stoops going for it on 4th down more than usual for practice sake.

Only if we're flat-out raping UNT. If we're up like 42-14 late, we'll just kill the clock with the running game. If we're up 55-0 or worse, JH will play a little ala MTSU last season.

Surprise usage of the tight ends get Sooner fans excited, only to see the number of attempts drastically drop in the second game like last year, too. :(

In a fit of diabolical cunning, Stoops has secretly installed the wishbone over the past three weeks. OU comes out and runs up 854 yards on NT and half the sports writers in the country keel over.
Mack Brown is seen being led around Austin in a straight jacket, babbling to himself about defensive ends.

*sigh*

Offensive Coordinators can't win.

We threw to the backs and tight ends all the time in 2001. Everyone bitched about our lack of a vertical passing game.

In 2003, you're not going to take catches from Mark Clayton to make sure Bubba Moses is getting his touches.
