the IT guy said that all models used to have that slot but in the last year or so, they dont

and i called dell and asked which models have those, and i was told none

My VAIO has one, and I bought it just about three-four months ago.

My Compaq that I bought last November does not have a PC Card slot (use of term is of personal preference).

Which is kind of odd given the popularity of wireless broadband cards offered by the major telecom companies.

it appears they have moved to ExpressCard

what are you wanting the slot for?

yeah, i was thinking it was something like that

the only other brand i'd consider is IBM and i think they went to ExpressCard before Dell, but i'm not sure if they are exclusively using them

sony says they dont have them either

the company has a small toughbook they'll let me use but the screen is like 10 inches, so i'm just going to get my own but i want to use the verizon card they have hooked up with this one so i can get internet when i'm traveling

you could probably find a refurb with one at the Dell Outlet

i'd look at the D620 here: http://www.dell.com/content/products/compare.aspx/latit?c=us&cs=28&l=en&s=dfb&~ck=mn
