A Status LED is located between the two battery holders on the 9300 Logger's front panel. Several different blinking patterns are used to communicate the status of the 9300 Logger without having to connect a terminal to the RS-232 port.

LED off continuously: 9300 Logger running and logging data on preset interval or Logger battery is dead.

D'oh!

Don't know what a logger is, but a single LED value that indicates that it's either working or not working seems like a design that could use some work.

well, if the thing makes noise, then it shouldn't be so bad...

Nope.

This is from the same company that at one point decided it was a good idea to encode the year as part of the extension for data file names. Good interface design choices is not their strong suit.

It blinks patterns not just on and off status....I wonder if it knows Morse code?
