They get amost all those they go after: Robert Bork, John Tower, Bob Packwood, Newt Gingrich, Bob Livingston, Tom DeLay, (haha)Scooter Libby, Rick Santorum, George Allen, JD Hayworth, Carl Rove, Alberto Gonzalez, and, of course others who don't come to mind.

So, who's next? I think they might go after Condi Rice...

Hopefully the remaining neo-cons in the administration and government as a whole will start to resign and dig post holes for a living until the very last of the smarmy bastards is out of Washington, out of power, and out of credibility.

It's not an issue of wanting another Civil War -- it's a simple realization that there are ****ty people on all sides of the political spectrum and, politics aside, there seem to be a hell of a lot of such people in the current administration. It's also being able to realize that there are different elements to the "conservative" movement and some of those elements are far more desirable than others. The neo-con wing is definitely not one of the desirable ones.

The Lib agenda follows virtually every step taken in the early 1900's with the rise of communism. They are rewritting the same book. To bad that so many libs don't see it. Oh wait , thats what they live for. A nice little civil war would help clean a bunch of them out :)

when I bought the cassette of "Who's Next" in junior high in the early 80's, i figured it was a greatest hits album it was so good.

i vote for the re-mastered Live at Leeds as #1. Who's Next and Tommy battle for #2. Quadraphenia is killer but underrated. love the early stuff like Pictures of Lily, Substitute, Etc.

the Who sells out is great but never heard. great record.

As good as place as anywhere on this board to post this without kicking an already moribund thread back up to the top (travel-related absence, now rectified):
1. King Crimson, it's obvious you've never read Marcuse. Try again.
2. L.A. Sooner, what you call "condescending" I call "relaying academic facts."
3. Rush, you're my hero.
4. I think debating philosophical matters of serious weight on a football message board is as gay as Larry Craig in a Minneapolis airport stall, but King Crimson is a poseur. And I cherish puncturing the intellectual facade of poseurs, period.
5. Hegel.
6. Boomer Sooner!
Sincerely,
-E.S.

P.S. Rush, Bork was only targeted by Teddy in 1987 because he was solicitor general in 1973 during the so-called "Saturday Night Massacre" when Nixon ordered Archibald Cox fired, and Elliott Richardson refused to comply. Bork was the one who ended up carrying out that proper Constitutional order -- and earned the ever-lasting enmity of Senator Chappaquiddick for it.
And you're quite right: the scummy Bella Abzug wing of the Democrat Party, witnessing the success of their filthy assault on Robert Bork, has not played by any sort of decent rules of political give-and-take ever since. Which is precisely why their complaints about how nasty "conservatives" have become is a quite shallow complaint, considering the smarmy source...

i've never read Marcuse? Really? and you have? i think the ball is in E.S's reductionist court on that....in more ways than one. still dodging Adorno I see. it's an interesting claim, since i cited him (Marcuse) directly in terms of "One-Dimensionality"...and the Great E.S. has not. except to repeat the same thing over again with more self-accolades.

you have yet to relay any "academic facts". again, assertion and ineffective insult is the monarch in your world.
