Can anyone fill me in on this. I was watching College Football Live today and they mentioned that he was DOUBTFUL for Saturday nights game. Anyone heard anything about this?

I had not heard about this. But Demarco may get a hold of that spot and not let go if all our backs are getting hurt and/or into trouble.

He'll play. Stoops saidin his press meeting that he was getting better day by day. Yesterday was much better than he was on frday. H's practicing though, so Ibet he'll play.

College Football Live is also the same program who said people don't like Notre Dame because of a TV contract.

Ankle?

I'd just as soon they rest him up for Miami. Murray, Madu and Gute can carry the load against UNT.

Is this leftover from the Spring Game? He played one play and got smashed by Reed and we have not seen much of him since.

I believe it happened during fall practice.

But you can understand what I am wondering though. Where has he been since the spring game?

Sounds like 2004 and AD...except no injuries. I honestly think Murray is the starter by the RRS.

Happened back on August 10th. Not a high ankle sprain, he'll be fine.

He had nothing to prove to the coaches, why rush it?

Totally agree with widescreen and snp, no need to rush AP into action. We can get the job done in game one with the backs we have. Gute, who is probably second, maybe third on the depth chart as it stands has proven he can run the ball. The n00bs are talented. No worries, get well AP and give the thUgs hell!

Sounds like a chronic type of ankle injury?

No... the chronic is in Austin these days. AP's clean.

Didn't AP have a similar problem last year at one point?

I thought I heard he rolled the left ankle last year and it's the right one this year... but I could have heard that in reference to all of the knee injuries.

I think he'll play because Brown is suspended. But it looks like Murray will get a lot of carries.

Maybe it's all a blessing in disguise?

I think AP starts the game, plays a couple of series, then it gets turned over to Murray, who will run wild.

In the 'blessing in disguise' column, it's probably best to rest AP, mostly. Brown is out. DM gets lots of carries....but so do Gute and Madu. Especially in Madu's case, this will be an excellent opportunity to give him significant reps.

Unless the game is close for some reason I don't see AP getting a ton of carries in the second half.

I agree with others, it could be The DeMarco Murray Show.

What a big opportunity for him, right out of the gate...
