in Norman, Padthai on Jenkins South of the Stadium, or Sweet Basil on Main, both are great Thai places

for Chinese, i like House of Hunan in Robinson Crossing. the Hot and Sour soup is awesome.

there is also a relatively new Vietnamese place across from the Greek House on Jenkins called Sooner Pho

for Indian there is a new place on Berry just South of Robinson called Himalayas that's really good (where Kendall's used to be)

The best indian I've had is that place on NW 23rd. Is that a Taste of India up there? I can't remember the name.

Pad Thai is best for Thai, though Sweet Basil is almost as good (but the price is a little higher).

Sam's Place is the best Chinese food around. It's on 77 at the very north end of Noble.

Asian: anywhere around the 23rd & Classen/Military area. The dirtier looking, the better! Personal favorite Pho house is Mr. Pho which is in the complex connected to Cao Nguyen market. Kang's Asian Bistro has a location in Edmond on 2nd just east of Bryant, and also opened one up in the Nichols Hills area (the old House of Hunan) just east of Western on Olie. (They have a wide variety of asian food. From sushi, to noodles, to pad thai, to chinese) Thai Palace on 2nd & Fretz in Edmond is good.

Indian: Namaste in Edmond on 33rd between Broadway & Boulevard is a newcomer, but has great food. Ajanta is good. Gopuram is the grandaddy of Indian in OKC. I've never had 'bad' Indian food in OKC. Some is just spicier/more authentic than the others.

I love sweet & spicy curry. There is a place about 1 mile west of Byron's Liquor on NW 23rd that is Thai food and the owner's name is Nick. Best Thai food in town but the name of the place fails me.

Thanks for the suggestions.

is Indian food more spicy than Thai food?

It depends on the chef. Personally both can be made as spicy as you'd want, but overall my vote would go to Thai food.

If made properly, both can be excellent spicy meals.

yeah, names fail me as well, but cruising up and down on 23rd is usually a good place to start. there's also a really good sandwich place off of 23rd that is across the st from that building with the big milk bottle on it. whatever street that is. ;)

either of the Thai places i mentioned in Norman. the scale goes from 1-5 on the hot scale, but i've gone as high as 6 at either place. if that's not hot enough they will give you something to put in it ;)

one of the hottest things i've had was the papaya salad at Thai Raja on Jenkins next to Wizard's

You're thinking of Sala Thai. Nick isn't there anymore. He and his wife got divorced and she runs Sala Thai and Nick opened his own place in Edmond. I think his place is Thai Palace.

Gopuram for Indian (NW 23 and Meridian or McArthur, cant' remember. Right next to Big Lots and Crest though.)

My new favorite Asian place is a little Korean place in MWC/Dell City right off SE 29th and Sooner, behind a casket shop (I'm not kidding). Their Chicken Bulgogi RMFFO!!!!
