the mississippian where I am at is unlike any other region in OK. It is more shale than lime, w/ few sand stringers. It has never really bitten us that bad.

We plan on making at least 2 trips per year until we retire. Then we retire and go every other weekend until we die. It's so much fun. I've already burned out a barrel in one rifle doing this. We take thousands of rounds of ammo and shoot at those little varmit basterds until the barrel cooks. Load all winter, re-barrel, go again. They're kind of cute but it's fun watching their heads come off in the scope.

That derrick hand...:) It was ice and lightning during the trip. Late October in Oklahoma ain't it great! We figured he could hang there about 15 minutes before suffocating. Good news is he hangs out in a trailer on location now consulting. Biggest worry is gettin' the sat set up and keepin' fresh batteries in the remote. You boys got it rough all right.
