I got this from another board, just something to look at to pass the final 8 days

"Landry Jones had an incredible scrimmage Thursday Night. I do not have the final stats but in the first 15 plays against Las Cruces Onate which is a 5A powerhouse he had 4 TD passes. One for 40 yds, one for 61 yds and two for 70 yds. One of the Coaches said He was so much better than he was last year. Just thought some of you would want an update"

Nice to know. I hope he comes in and red shirts his first year since we have both Nichol and Bradford.

I have high hopes for Jones. And I hope he stays committed to us.

If Bradford turns out to be a stud, then is there a such thing as having too many quarterbacks next year. Where will Nichols and Jones fit in with Bradford having that many years left to play? Think they will both stay? This is all assuming Bradford becomes what many think he can be.

You can never have enough good QB's. Look what happened in 2005. You've gotta keep replacing them.

Check out this footage from the Elite 11 QB camp from earlier this summer.
His footwork is amazing for a kid his age.

great release and arm, but i wouldn't say his footwork is amazing.

Landry Jones will be the most talented QB in Norman from his first day...I'm not saying he will start as a true fish...but he has the most upside by far.

Jameel Owens needs to hurry up and commit. Those 2 will have plenty of TD connections for the next 4 years.

Ha, so Halzle, Bradford and Nichol are already taking a backseat to a kid who hasn't signed yet? :D

I predict Landry will sign elsewhere. I hope I'm wrong. He looks like he could be really good.

i wouldn't blame him one bit, either. if you just look at it in a pure football sense, i'd probably choose to go somewhere else where the depth chart is a little thinner. well, not me of course, i'd go to OU if we had 9 qb's but if i was someone else, i'd probably choose another school.:D

Iinteresting. I said much the same thing three months ago and got labelled the village idiot. What a difference 2.5 weeks of practice makes.....
