Anyone who says anything negatively about Duck Tales will be severely beaten. What other shows did you watch on Saturday mornings?

My favorite show as a kid wasn't on Saturday mornings.

I think it was on Thursday nights. I'll give you a hint. It's filled with total badassery.

I'm not the kind to kiss and tell
But I've been seen with Farrah.
I've never been with anything less than a nine...
So fine.

That show still reeks of so much awesome it'd make the unworthy take a face crap.

HEATHER THOMAS.

Yeah, you know it's true.

The Smurfs. When I was 5 or 6 i was watching a primetime show hosted by Dick Clark in which he announced the upcoming Saturday morning cartoons for the season. When the Smurfs were shown I was in utter disbelief. You see my mother and grandmother had recently given me a collection of about 30 Smurf figurines and a mushroom house that they lived in. Nobody else I knew had any idea what a Smurf was. To me, my mother and grandmother had invented them. The idea that they had made a cartoon as well, made me feel pretty damned important.

Sitcom wise, I loved Diff'rent Strokes, The Jeffersons and Sanford and Son.

Favorite game shows were Tic Tac Dough and Family Feud.

Cartoonwise, loved The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show, Popeye, Mighty Mouse and Tom and Jerry.

I resent the suggestion that I have grown up. Nonetheless:
The Roy Rogers Show was my very first TV obsession.

Later...
Red Skelton

More later...
Bat Masterson
Rifleman
Gusmoke
Bonanza
Combat
Rat Patrol
12 O'clock High
Hogan's Heroes
(The Western & WWII Period)

Mo' later still...
Carol Burnett (great sketch comedy)
Dean Martin (Let's not forget those Gold Diggers!)
Even my neo-adolescent brain knew that those shows were excellent.

The Tonight Show w/ Johnny
Bob Hope shows were always good, too. Especially the USO stuff for the troops overseas.

After then, maybe I really was sort-of grown up.

And at least I didn't say Milton Berle. Did you watch Uncle Miltie on one of those 6-inch round TVs? :D

When I was really young, the "first" Land of the Lost, Fat Albert, The Electric Company, and that local TV clown fella (can't remember his name off the top of my head).

As my nads started to blossom, The Hardy Boys, Incredible Hulk, The Six Million Dollar Man, and Wonder Woman. Mmmmhhhhmmm, teenage Edmond Sooner enjoyed that last show much-much.
