who is Larry Turner?
He played at Ou as a frosh under KS before tranferring.I'm glad for Larry to get a shot but it seems obvious from his stats that he is a project. You can teach a 6'11 guy to be a better player but you can't teach a 6'8 guy to be 6'11.

Was he the one that left because he was going to be a daddy?

Was he the one that left because he was going to be a daddy?Yeah he left to be near family(daughter,I think).Another obscure OU player Victor Avila who was a non-factor at OU signed a few years ago with the NBA.He spent his time in the Developmental League(he too was a 6'10-6'11 project. That is why I think L2 will at least get a tryout in the NBA.You are either 6'11 or you ain't.

Avila never became the Big 12 newcomer of the year or all Big 12 like some predicted, but was a factor, especially against Chris Mihm who he pwned in Norman.

Nice to see a former Sooner get picked up by the NBA. :) Too bad it had to be the Lakers, though.
