All about Bristol this week.

Tickets here going for $150 - $1500 each.
160,000 rednecks in town this weekend. Good weekend to grill at home and watch a race on the teevee.

In an effort to increase speeds at Bristol, track owner Bruton Smith will have the banking at each turn increased to a mind boggling 72 degrees when he has it repaved after this weekend's race. :D

It does look that way in the picture. It's actually 36 degree turns.

I had to look up "Bruton Smith." Thought you made that name up!:texan:

The irony is I didn't realize they repaved it after the spring race.

Last night was truly racing the way it ought to be.

Thanks. So what happens to the Yates 88?

Yates sold the number to Hendrick Motorsports.

Personally, I don't think Yates is long for this new Nascar world. Just as Ginn was forced to merge with DEI, so to will Yates have to partner up with Joe Gibbs or Richard Childress to remain viable.
