Kinda corny I know, but that's one of the main reasons I never did them. Wanted to be able to tell my kids someday that "you don't have to do it, I never did", and not be lying.

nothing corny about it......i had the choice of either lying to my kids or being honest with them and setting what i felt was a bad/poor example.....

the problem is that they see dad as "successful", and think "well he did it and he turned out ok"
