How many times have you almost got your license yanked? Plus, I bet Jr. already knows how to change a tire too.

Drink heavily for the next year, then it'll be okay.

Once suspended, once threatened!

The question though is whether or not jr. could figure out how to properly change a tire late at night on her own having no clue how to do so previously.

It's pretty self-explanatory. Plus, I bet there are even pictures in the drivers manual.

Howzit...I still have 10 months until she hits the road...solo. It is hard enough on me riding with her.

I think I need to move to Lakeland...less traffic and more old people. ;) I would feel allot better.

It will be fine...millions of teens start driving every day.

They're tolerable for now...but 1 ticket and Jr's double. I told her if that happens, the differential is on her.

I'd expect her to be able to figure it out faster than you did.

Just make sure you give her a cell phone so she can talk on the phone while she drives and all will be okay.

I've only got eight months before my son turns 16...he just finished driving school a few weeks ago. I must be getting in better shape, though, because every minute I'm riding with him my heart rate is elevated.

Howzit
8/22/2007, 04:59 PM
Yeah, our insurance dude offers every 16 y/o he insures a deal - go six months without a ticket or accident, and he'll cough up $70 cash for them. He said out of 100 kids he's made the offer to since starting it, he's only paid up 12 times.

:(

I told Jr I'd match it. That would be money well spent.

She will be fine!!! And so will you.

I didn't get a ticket till I was 20 years old. Though I did rub up against a few things in my mom's car when I first started driving. Like those poles at fast food places that keep you from hitting the building.....I mean really, who came up with the great idea for those?

Anyways, she will be fine. Really. She will.

Man, Howzit this brings back memories. From the time I first got my license until about the time I started college, I had all manner of wrecks and tickets and stuff.

Thanks for that trip down memory lane, dude.

Heh... I found a copy of the driving test I took when I turned 16.

I failed it on all levels.

Which probably explains why I'm paying $220 a month on insurance premiums.

i had my DL for about 5 days, then totaled my mom's $45k SUV, come to find out 2 years latter, that would have been my college car. damn it, i shouldn't have been f***ering that girl while driving 65 down a dirt road.

that might get me baned, but i'm drunk and RIPPED, so let me have it mods

Look on the bright side - now she can be your designated driver when you get a bit schnockered.

Teen drivers...the source of my gray hair. Every time mine leaves the house I tell him to driver carefully and that if I EVER catch him texting while driving the punishment will be far worse than anything he can imagine. Lots of prayer helps too. Oh, and only three wheels on the car. that way it stays in the driveway ;-)
