I awoke Monday a.m. to find a swollen right eye. I tryed to make it through the day only to return home before noon. I took some Benedryl thinking I had a sinys infection, and that helped me sleep through the night. I awoke this a.m. to find a almost swolen shut eye, any type of light would make me cry like an 8 year old girl. Went to the Doc, thinking I had pink eye. She said, "you don't have pink eye, you have a huge piece of metal lodged in your eyeball. Had to go to an Opta...Optha...you know, an eye doctor. He pulled it out and put an eye patch on me. Arrrrg!(is that correct?)I feel like a pirate. My question is, how the **** do you get a large piece of metal in your eye without knowing it. I think my warranty must have went out at 40 years old, cause I'm fallin apart.

Foreign Objects and Debri. Before I forget, numming(sp?)of the eyes is pretty cool, but within and hour later I would have like to ripped his eyeballs out....minus the eyes.

Ohhhh.....

Anything having to do with the eyes.... Oh man... just thinking about it makes me shiver.

I remember during clinicals I had to observe an eye surgery... I just about lost it and passed out. Not. pretty. :(

Actually it did. It had been in there since Sunday. My eye started to hurt Sunday night. The eye Doc was concerned about infection, hince the dumbass patch Ima wearin, and the ****load of antibiotics I have to squirt in my eye.
