Okay, so I know we're retiring the space shuttle pretty soon and a manned mission to Mars is expected by 2020. What the hell is going to replace the shuttle and what vehicle is going to be used to go to Mars?

Have they shown the design for either yet, started awarding construction projects on the things, etc?
