i'm going to have to say N64. i remember when 4 of us would cram around a 13" tv and play Golden Eye, HOURS. that and mario cart.

Super Nintendo had some pretty sweet games, I would give it a tie with the N64. Mario Kart, Goldeneye, 4 player football games, Mario Golf.... the list just goes on and on!

GOLDEN EYE....WAS THE BEST EVER

anyone ever play Battle Tanks on N64? that game was sweet.

Mario Kart was better on the Super Nintendo than on the N64.

However, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time may very well be the best game ever made.

I forgot about Zelda. Many hours of my life wasted away in front of the television.

i didn't really get into the zelda game. i just played golden eye, battle tanks, mario kart, ditty kong racing, and maybe some Super Smash brothers. that was a sweet game.

I'm gonna have to go with the NES or the Sega Genesis.

We had one of the first NES systems. It came with a gun for duck hunt and R.O.B the robot for Gyromite.

The first games I had were Baseball (not RBI baseball, just baseball!) and 10 yard fight.

I like the GameCube solely cuz I can play all the Zelda games on it. Basically, if it's a Zelda game and they released it onto GameCube, I've got it...and nothing else.

i still miss the cartridge games. if'n then didnt work, just blow in the console or on the game it's self. i even had dust sleeves for my NES games.

I currently own a PS2 and a 360, but I think I spent more time playing on my Super Nintendo, especially Tecmo Super Bowl, NCAA Basketball and Super Baseball Simulator 1.000.

Atari 2600 - THE game console that started it all.

Eastern Front (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Front_(computer_game)) for the Atari 400/800 was my favorite game.

I have to say the NES.

First off, it revived the home console industry here in The States after the videogame crash of 1984 had doomed it.

Second, it enjoyed a monopoly that nothing has come close to since. From about 1985 through when the Sega Genesis was released in 1989, it was the only game in town, and everyone had one. It was even able to compete with the Genesis for a couple of years despite the fact that it was severely outclassed in graphics and sound due to sheer numbers of installed households.

well this was a guy who thinks it's ok for males to be playing a game named after little blue cartoon characters.

....well on a console.

I think that's why I wasn't impressed with it. It was the first FPS I played on a console and I was completely unimpressed.

that's like me saying Front Page Sports Football paved the way for the modern version of NCAA Football/Madden on the current console systems.

how were you not impressed with it? it one of the top 3 games for any system, pre-PS. the mapping was smoothest ever made, at that time. the auto aim was brilliant, and not the 4 player FFA

10 or 11, maybe. that was a long time ago. i've lost many brain cells since then. i just remember how bad *** it was.

I never played consoles at the time, just PC games. As compared to a PC FPS, I was highly unimpressed.

well some of us were social gamers, we liked to leave our rooms to hang out with other kids, even if we just sat in front of the tv for 4 hours straight.

my bad. i think i might have to get my golden eye fix since we're talkin about it. just waitin on the roommates to get back so we can smoke a bowl. then its ON.

did anyone ever play as odd job and do the slide?? thats what we called it. where you have your character kneel and then they slide around on their knees, makes them really small and hard to shoot.

Unless you were young/ a kid at the time, it's hard to describe the impact that the NES had.

Heh, it always undid me whenever someone would play as Odd Job. I'd always crack up when I'd see him come hauling *** by doing that classic Goldeneye run.
