I'm thinking I should take some instruction.

I remember when they told us we should take ballet to help with our Football skillz/receiving...

I thought that was a little gay then...

As I've gotten older....

I think Yoga might be the way to go....

I thought this awhile back. See, iu suffer from stiff white guy-itis. Trying to roll that damn kayak awhile back the instructor told me I needed to "loosen up the hips.". I've heard similar advice in any athletic venture I tried. It sounds vague, kind of dirty, and foreign to me. Yoga is supposed to be the panacea for all that ails me. Good for flexibility, circulation, coordination, balance, all that.

Then, after I exhausted thos thought I decided I needed a sammich and a nap. Hadn't thought about yoga again until this thread. And I AM kind of hungry.

Maybe it is good and great and stuff in America.

But, the way some people practice it here in Asia is really wrong and evil.

I'm not against being mentally tough. But to sit crossed-leg all day with the idea that your mind should be able to overcome the pain is just wrong. Your legs would hurt for a reason and that reason is that blood circulation has been cut off for some time. It's certainly not for everyone, in my opinion. Okay, it's mainly for really, really skinny people.
