I'm drawing a blank. I'm looking for the name (and ultimately website) of the Sooner memorabilia store on the south side of Lindsey next to the McDonald's and Texaco.

That's what I thought it was. But can't find a website for the store. Maybe they don't have one.

maybe the Big Red Shop? used to be a Long John Silvers. both McDonald's and Texaco are long gone from that corner of Berry and Lindsey.

heh. It's been a while since I was on lindsey. Last time I was in Norman was 2003 and came in from the east side.

I used to wait forever in that MdDonald's line back in the 90s when I was in school there. They sucked.

Heh. That Mickey D's went Tango Uniform a while back & the Fazzoli's which replaced it went TU early in the summer.

Actually the McD's moved across from Classic 50's in the Homeland parking lot.

the phrase Tango Uniform is highly underrated.

i used to go to that McD's at Lindsey and Barry in the late 70's in elementary school. and there was a convenience store (where the 364-4444 Pizza Shuttle was) called Little Red where i played my first Space Invaders. but, convenience store back then it was more a "counter-culture" store with incense and Jethro Tull records and fat freddy/R. Crumb comics and rolling papers.....of course, then, i had no idea what any of that stuff was all about. coke icee and a fist full of quarters was a good time.

naw, it was pretty cool. pizza delivery was kind of a new thing. Orin's (old timers) did it but was ridiculous expensive and the Domino's opened near campus corner....and when parents went out to drink margs and listen to Willie Nelson and Jerry Jeff.....i got to stay at home order some Shuttle and hope for the golden goose: movies with nudity on HBO.

and plus, who doesn't like those liquid crack watered down cokes in the sweaty waxed cups?

I called it ****s a Puddle. And the store is the Sooner Schooner Store. As far as I know, there isn't actually a Big Red Shop anywhere in Norman.
