I think I'm technically the junior assistant deputy floor captain. What's a floor captain, you ask? I'm not sure except that it has something to do with fire drills. I'm totally gonna Dwight this up.

here we call those people "emergency wardens"...they get to wear a red mesh hat during the fire drills. Dwightness abounds at those times.

Oh we have a guy who relishes the fire drills and false alarms in our building. You have never seen a man clutch a bullhorn and a clipboard with such passion, while wearing his orange safety vest.

I don't think I get a hat. :(

Just go to the local little league uniform supplier and get one made yourself. it'll probably set you back about 10 bucks.

Oh, and you need a bullhorn too.

Nope, but I think I get a weather radio for tornado warnings. But that's separate from my duties as floor captain. I guess that makes me the Chief Tornado Marshall.

If I just had a badge I'd be happy.

Oh man, I am so gonna score with chicks now. :texan:

I'd go take that up with management. Keep at it until they give in and get you:
A hat
A bullhorn
An orange safety vest
A 4D maglite
and a clipboard.

Make sure you stress that these are small prices to pay for the ensured safety of their employees, and that doing so will help keep insurance costs down.

Ha! We have “First Responders” here and they have a red sign at their cube with the title. No f’ing joke. Someone had a heart attack and a fellow co-worker got his *** chewed because he called the plant’s 911 number instead of going to a First Responder.

Thats totally awesome. Let me guess, the first responder would have just called 911, right?

DO YOU WANT TO DIE?!! DO YOU WANT TO DIE?!!

I would make a little Dwight face yelling ala Les in front of that but I just got a new laptop and I don't have my software loaded on it yet. So just use your imagination.
