I am thinking of getting a stainless steel sink, to replace the one in our kitchen. I dont know, what do ya'll think?

Yes, stainless steel is the way to go. Get the deepest one you can and one of those that mounts under the countertop if you're re-doing that too.

No less than 7 inches deep and even deeper if you can afford it.

Different in price is usually about the grade of the steel so saving money doesn't pay off in the long run. Polished looks pretty new, not so much in a few months/years. Make sure it has a coating on the bottom to dampen sound and even provide some insulation.

I won't come out for less than $150/hour.

Oh, sorry, I thought you probably loved your family enough to do it right.

Some of the newer ones have a bent edge at the rim rather than a sharp edge.

This is a plus.

$150/per hour for a rim job seems pretty steep.

The faucet is leaking, the garbage disposal is leaking, and the sink looks ugly.

i need to get a new seal kit for the disposal, but just gonna update the sink and faucet.

I have a black granite graphite sink. It won't chip or scratch. It looks really good, especially if you have dark countertops. They are also available as undermounts.
