Crap, forgot about Mr. Goodcents. I'd add them right behind Blimpie, close though.

The Subway by my work isn't too bad because it only costs $5 for the meal deal and they have a drive thru, but I'd still rank it behind the following (not in any particular order, just mood):

City Bites
Mr. Goodcents
Gourmet Deli
Bison Witches
Someplace Else, A Deli (on 23rd)
Ingrids Delicatessen on 36th

I used to like Quizno's, but now it smells too much like burned bread in there.

What is the deal with McAllister's Deli? I don't see what all the hype is really.

Jason's Deli is great IMO. I love their sandwiches and baked potatoes. I absolutely adore their salad bar.

I still prefer City Bites, we will eat there at times when we are back in OKC.

Subway

I have only had McAllisters in a lunch presentation and the Baker Bros. up in Addison a few years ago which is no longer open. I only went to Subway often because it was close to the office and quick, it was just basic sustenance, you know what you are going to get there and that is about all.

is st louis bread company still in tulsa? ate there a few years ago and i thought it was awesome. Hurt to pay that much for a sandwich, but it was good.

Seriously, I was wondering if I was the only one who thought this.

I can burn the **** out of some toast at the house, make a decent sandwich, and throw 7 bucks in the garbage disposal and save the gas money.

Pot Belly's on Belt Line is not bad. Can't remember exactly where, maybe Quorum or Addison Rd on the North side of Belt Line.

I hate to go to chain sammich places when I live in the home of the fried shrimp and oyster poor-boy, the sloppy-juicy roast beef poor boy, and the muffaletta. But NOLA doesn't have much in the way of classic deli fare. I've had some good stuff at Jason's, McAlester's and even Quiznos.
I do hate Subway, though. The most ordinary sandwich I make at home is better and cheaper than Sub-par.

Mr. Goodcents delivers. that puts it close to the top of the list :D

i like City Bites too. Quizno's is OK...the only time I have Jason's Deli is if they cater something here or bring box lunches.

As much as I put Subway at the bottom of the list.....it's still better than a host of other options I've had many times.

I wont sing their praises, but there's been times I was very happy to see them.

Actually, it's Vendame.

And the cops eat there all the time. Last Friday, I got pulled over by two of TC's finest on my way over there. 20 minutes after they arrived, the cops who pulled me over came in through the back to grab a bit to eat.

Potbelly is pretty good...pricing not too bad, however the selection is relatively slim. Their salads look ginormous though. Sammiches are all one size, which is probably a good thing compared to the select-a-size you get with Quiznos, Subway, and your local pizza chains.

Pure goodness. The alfalfa sprouts make the cali club what it is.

Kinda off topic but, if you want a GREAT club sandwich, go to Louie's on Lake Hefner. Simply awesome.

I'd have to go to the burbs, I'm a sucker for a good buffalo chicken sammich.

p.s. today panera rocked my lips off....it wasn't quite good enough to rock my face off.
