Yup. I just checked into a hotel in Salina, KS, on my way home from elk hunting and decided to pop in and see wassup. According to Mrs. Dean, Phil says he has the game on the dish.

No I didn't kill anything. The animals were in the dark timber very high up. I guess I'm getting old, cause I let some animals live that I used to wouldn't. I thought "do I really wanna gut and haul this big bastard off this mountain out of this black timber?" The answer was a resounding "hell no." My brother got a very clean shot at a huge mule deer buck from about 100 yards and less than a mile from the truck.........and missed. Twice. I'm still cracking up. First shot missed so bad the deer just stood there. The second shot sent him scurrying into the woods, but probably missed him by a foot. I was rolling on the sage covered mountain.

Oh well, it's good to be back on flat land again, and I shall see y'all on Saturday.
