Like one-under is that great an accomplishment.

Now a hole in one? THAT'S an accomplishment!

I almost made a double eagle on Saturday.

And by almost, I mean it hit the green and rollen within a foot or so of the hole before settling in the fringe.

well, OK.

bobcat's are rarely seen by humans. they are typically nocturnal creatures. seeing one in the daytime is a rare opportunity. harvesting one of these beautiful animals with only a bow and arrow is next to a miracle.

I almost shot a 97 Sunday, and by almost I mean if I had only missed 23 more putts....

you just described a hole-in-one, sans bow and arrow of course.

i've only had two shots at a bobcat in my life. that makes my shot/bobcat ratio 50%.

now it's your turn...

Made a birdie too.

Not on the almost-double-eagle hole though.

that's a long chip.

btw, when does a chip turn into a pitch. Yardage, length of swing, breakage of wrists during swing?

i'll take that off the air.

Mjcpr
8/6/2007, 03:18 PM
ouch

Yeah, that's what happens when you snuggle your chip to within 12 feet, uphill of the hole.

It was a sweet one.

more time in the air = pitch

more time on the ground = chip

all shots screaming along the ground = Pat

Yeah, I don't know why I even try. I can rarely hit it worth a ****. 4 iron either for that matter.

That's why I carry an old, crappy 7 wood. :D I should probably try one of those hybrid clubs.

a guy at work gave me his old hybrid. It's just a cheap one, but I really like it. heck of a lot better than the 3 iron.

It's all about state of mind.

I suppose you use a weenie hybrid? If so, it had better be the Cobra Baffler.

i tried to hit one of my dad's hybrids (which he loves) and i couldn't get a feel for it. hit a lot of chump shots. he hits it great. of course, he's also been about a 4-5 handicap player for 30 years.

I almost got my 1st ace at Silverhorn two weeks ago. Hit a nice 7-iron to within six inces of the cup. I loves those types of mindless birdies.

I find that if I try to sweep my hybrids, that I tend to hit them poorly. Now, if I hit down on them like an iron, I usually can keep it on the short stuff all day.

that's what pops was saying, but i couldn't really make the mental commitment to swing at it that way. i kept thinking "fairway wood". stubborn i guess.
