The film features two of the greatest actors of our era: Sir Anthony Hopkins (who, IMHO, turns in his greatest film performance) and Morgan Freeman.

And of interest to film buffs, that sublime Supreme Court closing argument Hopkins makes in the role of Adams at the end is officially considered the longest piece of uninterrupted movie dialogue by a single actor in American film history. It's verbatim from the official trial transcript and stunningly, Hopkins did it in one take.
