$40.5 million and including $17 million in guarantees.

I think you missed the word "million" in there.

I'm a big Vikings fan this year.

Go AD!

I just wish the Vikes had a seasoned QB and more offensive threats to take some of the pressure off.

Just stay away from the team boat trips, AD.

He earned it too. I just hope that he doesn't blow out a knee on that crappy Metrodome turf. It really is pathetic.

Want to read something ironic? Joe Washington blew out his knee as a rookie in a preseason matchup, San Diego vs New England. The site of the game, Owen Field.

Field turf is safer than grass. Field turf inside the Metrodome is also much better than frozen grass outside in Minneapolis.

how do you know this? i mean, i know you're in some husbandry crap or what not, but where did you get that information?

It's an artificial padding that's always soft under the field turf. Whereas grass can be tough to land on. The advantage as far as cutting ability and look goes to grass. I'm all for real grass.

FWIW, I've heard many players say that cutting is better on field turf, especially if there's been rain.

I'm all for grass as far as the look is concerned (and I think outdoor sports should be played on a real surface) but the field turf has proven itself to be the superior playing field in football.

I read it a year or so ago; they ran a study as far as serious knee injuries or something of the like are concerned, and the field turf performed the best. I don't remember where I read it, so I don't have a link.

Got my tickets Friday for the Cowboy/Vikings game.

I'm hoping for 150+ yards & a couple TD's out of AD, but a win out of Dallas.:)
