Beavan, the 1st Round pick of the Rangers signed with Navarro Junior College today. Apparently, the Rangers don't want to cough up the money he is demanding.

Beavan would be draft-eligible after 1 year of JC ball. IF Blake attended class a OU he would not be eligible for the MLB draft until after his junior season.

Why is this so?? Why are JC players eligible after one year and players at four year schools eligible after three?? Doesn't make sense.

4 year schools need protection from the pro teams so that they don't draft a kid after 1 or 2 years. Since JC's only have a kid for 2 years they are not protected after just 1 year.

Washinton HS pitching prospect, Zac Cargill, signed this weekend to play at the University of Nebraska. He was headed for Cowley Junior College, but after a very impressive summer, the big LHP got the offer he was looking for.

I don't blame them.

Kid's acting a little too cocky for my tastes.

The good ones are cocky at first. Then reality sets in and they have to get bac to work. The Rangers should bite the bullet on this one and sign him. The one thing the Rangers laque is pitching.

Another thing, when the Rangers trade somebody, they excel. Look for Texiera to really break out for the Braves in the coming weeks.

GO SOONERS!!
