Is in shambles.

Yesterday:
Alexander Vinokourov: + for receiving a transfusion. GONE. His whole Astana team. GONE.
Today:
Many French riders protest against the impact of doping, holding up the start of the stage.
Cristian Moreni: + for manufactured testoterone. GONE. His whole Cofidis team. GONE.
Tonight:
Michael Rasmussen, who has worn the yellow jersey for most of the race, and who won today's stage, considered the most difficult: Caught in lies about his pre-race training whereabouts and why he missed pre-race dope testing. GONE. His whole Rabobank team: UNDECIDED.

This list doesn't even mention the individuals and teams who were barred from the race before it ever got started, leaving this year's field the smallest in many years.

I wonder if cycling has truly gone past the point of no return.

Dear Cycling,

Even we know you are corrupt beyond a doubt.

They just need to lose the testing. If everybody's cheating, it evens the playing field again.

Just have the doping games.
No drug testing and take all the performance enhancers you want.

That'd be good TV right there.
