She calls me on my cell around noon.

Me: Hello?

Her: Daddy, why are they protesting KFC?

Me: Huh?

Her: I just passed a KFC and there were about a dozen people protesting. One of them was a girl in a bikini waving at passing cars.

Me: It was prolly PETA.

Her: Why?

Me: Because PETA represents the view that eating animals is bad, and KFC is the world's single largest killer of chickens.

Her: Huh?

Me: You heard me.

Her: But Daddy...they're only chickens.

Me: precisely.

Perhaps there is hope for the next generation after all. Especially if My Blonde Daughter gets it.

Two things. First, KFC is delicious and I don't care what they do to the chickens.

Second, I would put wager that I hear this joke:
