My top 5 would be:

1. 2000 vs. Nebraska (OU becomes #1)
2. Jan. '01 vs. FSU (#1 scoring team gets nothing) sympathy 2 points
3. 2004 vs. Texas (Texas was just as good and went on to win Rose)
4. 2003 vs. TAMU (Gift to Bammer; worst loss in TAMU history)
5. 2001 vs. Texas (The defense and of course THE HIT)

How about you others? I know there are plenty to choose from. It's a hard one.

Gotta put '01 Orange Bowl #1.

I thought about putting the Orange Bowl win #1 but that was just the icing on the cake after OU made it known during their October stretch. I could be wrong, but isn't that the only time during his era that the fans rushed the field? The Nebraska win, for me, is the #1 choice because it set the tone from then on to now. OU was officially back after the win over then #1 Nebraska.

01 Orange Bowl against FSU 13-2
00 Texas A&M 35-31
02 Bama
00 KSU Big 12 Title
Tie for 5th 65-13 and 63-14 over Texas

I agree about '02 Bama. That game also seemed to signify our toughness. I remember thinking back then that Stoops' (and OU's) image could have tumbled a bunch if that game doesn't turn out the way it did.

We'd just lost our previous home game (to OSU at the end of 2001), lost our starting QB, blew a 20 point lead at intermission, and had an incredible comeback against a pretty good Alabama team.

Most of the others I agree with. 2000 Nebraska and subsequent Orange Bowl, any of the five wins against Texas, and wins against A&M in 2000, 2003, and 2004.

I can't pick just a top five, but those were some pretty good games.

Oh, and you gotta throw 2002 Tech in there somewhere. 60-15 against Kliff Kingsbury. Two safeties. Any time you score 60 in a conference game is huge.

There are six games in 2000 alone that can be argued for; 63-14 over Texas, the win over #2 Kansas St. in the Little Apple, the big win over #1 Nebraska, the 35-31 thrill er over A&M, the KSU rematch in the Big-12 Title game, and, of course, 13-2 over Florida State.

The year before had a big one too, unfortunately against my Aggies, in the 51-6 win in Norman that signaled OU's reemergence.

2000 - Nebraska
2001 - Florida State Orange Bowl
1999 - Louisville, second half comeback on the road in his first season; showed the team was buying into the coaching
2004 - Texas, shutout of Vince Young, Cedric Benson, and the rest of the 'Horn pretenders
2000 - Texas, unexpected slaughter began unexpected national title run

I was at #1 and #4, and I live in California

My top 5:
1. 2000 vs Nebraska (never a doubt OU was back after this)
2. 2000 NC vs FSU (13-point underdog? Ha)
3. 2001 vs Texas (never has one play made me as happy - even better than Torrance Marshall INT)
4. 2003 vs Oklahoma State (I had non-gambling friends actually palcing bets on this game because they thought Okie State has OU's number - lolz)
5. 2001 vs Kansas State (a forgotten game, but a thriller - lots of big plays)

Also tough to not include: 2000 Big 12 Champ vs KSU, 2002 Bama, 2002 Iowa State (Seneca wallace was Heisman frontrunner before Sooners destroyed them. I'll never forget Everage and Stoops running off the field together after the post-game interview), 2005 Holiday Bowl vs Orgeon and 2006 Big 12 championship vs Nebraska, all Texas wins.

That's an often overlooked game that really did turn a lot of heads. I remember getting drunk before the game and sitting in sort of a stunned-near comatose manner on my couch and watching it all unfold.

So hard to narrow it down...remember these are my FAVORITE games to watch over and over again of the Stoops era, not necessarily the Biggest or Most Important...

1) 2000 v. UT
2) 2003 v. UT
3) 2003 v. Tam (77-0)
4) 1999 v. Tam
5) 2000 v. Cornholes

Title should be top 5 "victories," but that's just nit-picking.

My top 5 victories:

1. 2001 Orange Bowl (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0_Aq_OOOEM) Caps one of the greatest seasons of all time.
2. 2001 OU versus Texass (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YzWeDxtMskk) Not only an RRS W, but a great win. Proff that great deffense beats good offense any day of the week.
3. 2006 BIG 12 Champeenship (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAxGMOpw4x4) Capped off one of the more frustrating, yet exciting seasons ever at OU. "Paul Thompson won't win a BIG 12 Title," my arse...
4. 2000 OU versus Nebraska (http://youtube.com/watch?v=dxdQC-eWtAw) The game that struck fear back into the hearts of Oklahoma's opponents. Watch for the Hook-and-lateral... :O
5. 2007 National Championship... video's not finished, yet... :D

Oklahoma was #3 when going against Nebraska. OU jumped to #1 with the win. Washington State was #7 going into the game. 2001 Oklahoma/Nebraska was BCS #1 vs BCS #2. Kansas State defeated Nebraska 29-28 in 2000.

This night game showcased the ninja formation worked to perfection. OU could've scored 100 if they wanted to.

Definately not top 5 material, but 2003 v. UCLA when #28 (Antonio Perkins) scored a bagillion points on returns is clearly a favorite of mine.

I can't believe so many are disregarding the 2006 BIG 12 Champeenship. That was a huge moment in Sooner history, all things considered what it took just to get there. Don't believe me, watch LASooner's 2006 video.

The classics full of goosebumps:

1. '01 Orange Bowl
2. '00 Nebraska
3. '00 A&M
4. '02 Bama
And I'll throw in a wild card: 5. '04 A&M

For me in person, number 1 is a tie between '02 Bama and '03 Texas. I got photos at my desk of Eric Bassey and Jonathan Jackson strollin' in the end zone from those games.
