Do you plan to tailgate at Tulsa, and if so, where ???

7/23/2007, 11:22 PM
Not really sure. Plan on picking my son up in Norman around 1:00 or 1:30 and then head to Tulsa. If it's like it was in 2002 you had to bus to the area because there is little to no parking around the stadium. I doubt if Dean will pull his trailer up for lack of a place to park.

definitely CU.

K Crimson. i'll be looking to meet you up there.

Crap, I didn't even think of the parking quagmire that will be TU's campus. I may just walk from my parent's house (81st and Mingo, south side of town ... lol ...)

Since this is my last semester at OU, I also plan on saving extra cash for the RRSO, the big 12 championship (if ... nay, when we make it), and our bowl game. Aaaaand *maybe* the Tech game, since I have a few friends down there. Although, I'm not too excited about the idea of being hassled by their ghetto fans, so this is a major maybe. :)

Tulsa, I think. Physicsdom got me tied down at base.

in 2002 i parked in front of Bama Pie and walked

last year when they played that nobody at the beginning of the year i parked in a dirt lot where Starship used to be :(

if you get there early enough, it shouldn't be too bad there West of the stadium on 11th somewhere

i'm planning on making all the games again. me and doleo should hit 50 straight games at the aTm game

i think the roughest trip will be to Ames, we have a place to stay, etc... in Boulder

Colorado and Tulsa.

Looks like we got a good crowd up in Colorado, we'll have to get a Friday night get together planned closer to the game.

CU for sure since i live in Colorado. I am glad to hear a bunch of sooner fans making that game. i am going with a big ole boy who played ball for Nebraska but he hates CU also.

yes a Friday get together sounds like a great idea.

Boulder and Lubbock this year.

These would be two of the most picturesque football settings in the entire
country if Lubbock wasn't a complete sh*thole.

Is it okay if I chuckle about Tulsa being a "true" road game? I mean, come on. So we wear white uni's that day...that's about it on the road aspect of it.

Iowa State. But then... I'm cheating since it is a mere 3 hour 20 minute drive.... south. :D

I'm planning on making this trip as well. I'll be home by then and its only an 8 hour drive from Grand Forks, ND. Maybe I'll see ya there?

Iowa State if the misses can get off work that day, its only 200 or so miles from me.

CU. Although I live in Colorado Springs, the wife and I are planning on taking a weekend away and staying in Denver. Haven't missed a CU game up here since before '99.

Texas Tech

Moms moved to Carlsbad NM, which is about 2 1/2 hours away from Lubbock, and so I'll be able to "kill 2 birds with 1 stone"...

By the way, getting from Chicago to Lubbock isn't near as easy as one would think...

Yes

It looks like a good place to stop and take a dump, then head somewhere else.

I'll be here in T town for the game.

I'm planning on Tulsa if I can get tickets and ISU.

IronSooner

UT and Iowa State for sure, maybe one other one depending.

I didn't think CU was all that bad, but much smaller than I'd expected it to be. The black part where they painted COLORADO is just black asphalt...a little ghetto. The student section chanting a very well organized and crystal clear "F--- you OU" was a nice touch during warmups.

If we do a SF.com tailgate it is likely in the extreme. I'll have the whole brood in tow, ta boot.

All of them. It's what I do.

At Colorado, we have stayed at the Reniassance in Broomfield. I think it's around 99 a night and they have a champagne brunch on Sunday. Unlimited champagne.
