cutt it off the cob and freeze it...otherwise, cook it as soon as you can!

Cut some off the cob and keep some on the cob. Do you have a vacuum sealer (Foodsaver). If so, make some bags and put four cobs in then seal it up. They'll keep for a long time in the freezer. If you don't have a foodsaver, I'd shuck them, trim them up, and then blanch them (boil for just s tiny bit). Then put into freezer bags. They won't keep as long but will for a little while. This is how my grandma did it. She didn't have a foodsaver, though.

I love it off the cob and could eat a gallon. I love eating it from the cob, though, so I like to keep some that way.

Usually my mother in law goes to that place in Harrah each year and gets us a couple of grocery sacks full so I have to put it up somehow.

since the 4th it's been on sale at our local market....anywhere from 4 to 6 ears for $1.00 (!).

i usually grill it in the husk or shuck it and roast in the oven, wrapped in foil with a clove of garlic and a smidge of butter or olive oil.

I shuck it boil it and eat it with no butter or anything. The corn I have been getting is so sweet I don't bother.
