i thought about getting something like that if/when i get a CCW permit
kinda looking at a Bersa, a Keltec or maybe a Kahr
i'm leaning to a 9mm instead of a .380 though

the 9mm has more knock down power

and the ammo isn't really any more expensive, i think it's likely cheaper even

9 mm ammo is cheaper than any other ammo right now, and there were a few 9s I was looking at, but it's all about compromise of cost/size/power/accuracy/comfort/.........?
The smaller glocks didn't appeal to me. Just didn't fit right in the hand. I wouldn't mind a larger one.
As a pocket pistol, I may actually consider one of these down the road. It's a .32, but fires special rounds that actually gives it more knock down power than a .38 ACP.

and you didn't go for a Kimber or H&K? ;)
my first was a 1950 Colt GI 1911 i got from my grandfather. it's what i learned to shoot with years ago.
i don't like the way the Glocks feel in my hand, maybe the SF model is a bit better. my hands just aren't that big, i guess
the XD just fit a lot better, and i like the extra grip safety

Heh, I always got a chuckle out of the anti-Glock people calling them "Tupperware".
Still, I haven't been disappointed with mine:
