After four years at my current job, I got offered my dream job a couple weeks ago. As much as I hate to leave one coworker in particular, (:)) I took it and will be at the new place this Monday. Which is exciting and all, but dang. Being here this week sucks. Emotionally, I am over this place. (But not the one coworker. She's nice. :D ) If leaving a job wasn't bad enough... we are in a period of flux at the old place, and I am not only moving my own sh*t out, but I am moving what will soon be someone else's sh*t into a trailer in a parking lot. Don't ask why.


Okay. Asbestos. *Cough Cough.*

When I gave notice, I also informed my boss that I was going on a vacation that I was not otherwise going to be allowed to take because of the afformentioned period of flux. But I figured, what are they gonna do, fire me? And so my exhausted a** just got back from a trip to Niagara Falls, NYC, and Washington DC.

So what I am saying is... I am a worthless employee right now. Good for nothing. I am sitting here waiting for some guys to come in and move my computer literally out from under me.

I will be swtiching jobs at the end of the month in all likelyhood. I have decided unless something urgently is needed, I will pawn all my ongoing projects off onto my replacement. Unless it turns out to be the hot cattle baron's daughter, then I will make sure to train my replacement thoroughly to take over those projects.

(and by the way, in preparation for our move to the trailers, our computers were unplugged first thing this morning. well, it was after lunch and our stuff still wasn't moved. so we were basically just standing around, waiting, without having Internet access...so VK and I plugged our computers back in to help pass the time. finally, the movers came to my office and started loading up my computer. apparently I didn't turn mine off all the way because it shocked her when she unplugged it. OOPS!)
