PS3 price reduced by 100 bucks on the 60 gig model

it appears they are phasing out the 60 gig for an 80 gig that is coming out in Sept. (or so)

also hear they are close to releasing rumble controllers.

also hear that the new 80 gig will utilize software for emulation purposes whereas the 60 uses hardware (much better way)...for those that care about such things

when the 80 gig comes out it will cost the same as the 60 gig did before the price slash.

since it is easy to change the hdd i thought about getting the 60 and then picking up some rumble controllers at a later date....

but i am way to lazy for all that.

I'm going to wait for the second version that's 50% smaller, less hot, with a bigger HD and for less $$. Like the slim PS2 was.

I swapped for a 120GB HDD months ago. Works like a charm.
I heard the rumble controllers were gone due to a patent problem (namely, Sony didn't have the patent on rumble controllers). Has this changed?

yeah they just signed an agreement with the people that do the rumble controllers i guess and they look to be hitting the stores in a month or 2.
