Is the Washington Post wrong when they state this?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/07/11/AR2007071101356.html

and Coach Bob Stoops's career record will be amended to reflect the erased wins, dropping it from 86-19 in eight seasons to 78-27.

I'm seeing conflicting information about whether the games are treated as a loss or not. Yes, I did read the sticky message but I would appreciate it if someone could positive state that the Post was wrong.

OU went 8-4 in 2005, including a win in the Holiday Bowl over Oregon. The school can keep bowl revenue because the NCAA doesn't regulate bowl games. But the school's record — and Bob Stoops' coaching record – must be changed to 0-4.

Yes, that's wrong.

Bob's *official* record is now 78-19.

We *officially* went 0-4 in 2005. Our opponents' records do not change - regardless of the outcome.

The eight programs we beat still have the L in their books. We just don't get the W in ours.

As if they managed to lose to thin air. Not many teams can say that.

You forgot to add, "Sincerely, Brent Parker" at the end of that. Otherwise, it's pretty much dead-on.
