A driver posing as a police officer tried to pull off a bogus traffic stop, but he ran into trouble when the other motorist turned out to be a real off-duty detective, police said.....Driving an SUV fitted out with flashing lights, Lane stopped the New York police detective on the Sunrise Highway on Tuesday afternoon, Suffolk police said. They said Lane told investigators the detective had cut him off.
