Wodering how long I'll be out? does it hurt? Big incision?
Nevar had pins put in, just wondering... :texan:

Are you talking pins or rods? It'll be a different type of incision if you're talking rods.

And yes, it will hurt...

The down time will depend on how bad the fracture is and where it's located.

i've had pins and i've had plates. No rods.

Yes, it depends on what you broke, etc.

My oldest son had to have screws in his Hip when he was 15 He was off his crutchs in less than 2 weeks . Now he has some probs but he still works .

it was his girlfriend, um i mean right hand ;)

hope it heals well man, i can't imagine that is going to feel good

I had a plate on my first metacarpal in my left hand when I was 17. Was fine till I got the cast off, hurt for a couple weeks after that. Having it in felt fine though. Takes ~8 weeks to heal a bone generally.

I got 2 screws in my foot last year after bunion surgery. Still have 'em. Under general anesthesia they don't hurt. Doc says if they start buggin' me he'll remove 'em. Otherwise they're mine for keeps.
