...folks, if you don't already know, our family has an insurance agency here in Dallas. Every year, company market reps come in and promise us thay're writing everything, easy underwriting, good commissions...all lies, of course.

But, this year...it's July and they're still pouring in. Usually it ends the first week of February.

The bottom line is this: no matter where you live or what kind of insurance you have, shop it this year. The companies are out like sharks trying to write. It's the complete 180-degree opposite of four years ago.

Honestly, I could probably write a dynamite factory this month by just submitting an Accord form as an application. The loss control guys must be freaking out. But, who cares...they're nerds. Shop while you can before some other big "event" (9/11, Hurricane katrina, mold lawsuits) scares the companies again.
