Tell her not to panic. There is a switch near the door.

They'll turn them on at night.

Someone needs to tell Brat not to take those high wattage appliances (hair dryer, curling iron......among other more personal items).

My baby bro and his esposita are flying to LV tomorrow thru Sunday. My Blonde Daughter is as we speak driving to Wichita to babysit her four young cousins thus freeing up my bro and s-i-l.

I'd laugh my arse off if LV was "dark" when they arrived. That said, surely them casinos got generators. As an aside, I wonder what they tell the dealers to do if the lights suddenly go out?

they all have lockdown procedures, and I guarantee you that nobody is allowed to leave the casino during a lights out situation.

I heard it was 112 degrees there today. I can't imagine that with no a/c.

116 tomorrow. But it's a "dry heat."

Well of COURSE...that makes it all so very bearable.

;)

I would imagine anything over about 105 is hot, no matter if it is wet or dry.

Unless it is Denver.

oh no, 105 in denver is ****ing hot

espcially since a lot of homes there (oh, like say, my parents) don't have ac, just swamp coolers...

We had swamp coolers when we lived in Albuquerque. It was very comfortable. We had two large coolers for the kitchen, one for the rest of the second floor and one for downstairs. Dry heat, you know. :D

She said only part of Sam's Town was dark, but some of the slots were still working. Priorities.

I asked her again about Danny O. She said he wasn't there or else she would be making out with him in a dark corner instead of talking to me.

We were up there last summer when it was 100, it felt like a coll front to us. When we left Austin it was in a string of 105 degree days with 50-60% humidity. That 10-15% humidity felt real good up there and even better was the ride up to Mount Evans where it was 65 degrees. I joked with the people down here that i rode my motorcycle more in Colorado last summer than in Texas.

only Sam's Town and surrounding businesses lost power. apparently a dump truck backed into a power pole.

Lil Baja's soccer team played in a couple of June tournaments in Denver and Colorado Springs. The local teams were dying of heat while we thought it was perfect weather for soccer. And kind of evened up the altitude advantage. For the finals, our girls showed up wearing their team jackets, ear muffs, and gloves. We think it shook 'em up so much that we won.

So you gonna try to get Lucky with Homeys Daughter ?

bri

Yes, but since "getting lucky" for GHP is defined as 'a hug that lasts that extra couple of seconds'...Homey has nothing to worry about. :D
