I have sold every car I’ve owned by placing an ad in the local paper. It always never ceases to amaze me but every time I get the same damn phone calls.

Sample Ad:
2000 Chrysler 300, 54k miles, lthr, p/d, p/l, 6 cd. Call 316-555-1234.

Prospective buyer: Yeah um, I’m calling about the ad you have in the paper.
Me: Yes.
Prospective buyer: What kind of car is it?
Me: A Chrysler 300.
Prospective buyer: Mmm K. What year?
Me: Twoooo. Thousand.
Prospective buyer: Mmm K. How many miles?
Me: Fifty. Four. THOUSAND.
Prospective buyer: OK! Thanks.

Every single GD phone call!!! WTF do I even spend money on the ad to put extra words in it? I might as well have an ad that reads, “CAR 4 SALE. 316-555-1234”

This thread reminds me of the thread where the person was trying to sell their house. I forget who it was.

I would also like to say one of the cars I sold was a 12 year old Camaro with 100K miles for $900. A caller actually had the retardedness to ask what kind of guarantee of reliability this vehicle had. Holy ****! Man, you’re buying a POS $900 car. There’s your guarantee.

You'd get a better response if the ad said "Interesting trades considered."

We use to wrap friends' cars in wet newspaper by moonlight & then call them saying we saw them in the paper.

I know, very childish. :D
