Guess I moved from Albuquerque too soon . . . :D

So they go from wanting to install the breathalyzer locks on cars to this?

Department of Health announces it will allow patients to grow their own marijuana because the state still hasn’t figured out how it is supposed to grow and distribute pot.

there's probably plenty of people at any prison that could help them with that.

that's awesome

Until the Health Department comes up with its distribution plan, patients will have to buy pot on their own wherever they can find it.

Highschool kids all over Albuquerque just got rich.

Meanwhile the fed govt can still arrest them? I don't get it. So what does this change?

I don't understand how they could if the pot never crossed state lines.

The Feds just do whatever they want to do, though.

That makes more sense. So its legal as long as they keep it in NM.

For the record New Mexico is the best Mexico.

Indeed:

“It may stop local law enforcement from knocking on somebody’s door who’s growing marijuana,” said Captain Johnson. “But certainly, I don’t believe it will stop the DEA or federal agents from doing the same.”

If the feds do come knocking, neither the Health Department, police or sheriff’s office say they can do anything to stop them from making arrests for marijuana possession.

THAT is the real crime.
