I think Homey recently did one of his morning history lessons on the football war.

It's not that far-fetched. I've thought about invading Texas myself a few times after the refs screwed us.

It is just staggering how many Russians died in WW2's individual battles:

1,530,000 - Battle of Stalingrad (1942–1943)
1,500,000 - Siege of Leningrad (1941–1944)
1,338,000 - Battle of Kursk (1943)
900,000 - Battle of Moscow (1941–1942)
500,000 - Battle of Smolensk (1941)
400,000 - Battle of Kiev (1941)
370,000 - Battle of Voronezh (1942)
370,000 - Battle of Belarus (1941)
270,000 - Second Rzhev-Sychevka Offensive (1942)
270,000 - Battle of West Ukraine (1944)
260,000 - Battle of the Caucasus (1942)
230,000–350,000 - Battle of Kursk (1943)
190,000 - Battle of West Ukraine (1941)
170,000 - Battle of the Lower Dnieper (1943)
150,000 - Battle of Rostov (1941)

98's numbers don't even include the citizens/soldiers whom were shot for being accused as being nazi sympathizers or traitors.
