8th Ave. is basically shut down today

at least where I am between 38th and 39th. We aren't allowed through the front doors of our building, so we have to take the freight elevator. They're tearing down a building next door. Part of a wall collapsed and a brick fell on a worker's head. they shut down the whole...freaking...block.

well, luckily i'm not here at night. I leave at 5, usually, or before. I'm interning for the Center for New American Media (http://cnam.com/flash/index.html)and their office is here. 21st floor, overlooking the port authority and such.
