Probably go sailing with some of the other researchers in may lab that have a boat on Texoma if we can access the marina. gf is coming down to the station for the weekend... good times. :D

here are some pics of how high the water is now... it is ~8 feet over normal pool and is supposed to go up another 6 before the 4th.

Here is the normal layout... notice the paved area in front of the boathouses

This sign is normally like 20ft from the shore and the water...

I dont even GET vacation time until Ive been working there a year. Lucky for me I really like working... or else working on a holiday would suck. Or something like that.

Anyone ever ridden the train from OKC to Fort Worth? Is it worth your time?

Right now that is flooded... I think it is closed for the time being...

But I've ridden it to Dallas for OU/TX and it was a nice ride.

i've done it to visit my sister. it's takes longer, but it's kinda scenic and comfortable. i'd do it again. be sure and make a reservation, it's like 10-15 bucks more if you don't.

I'm going back home to throw fireworks at friends, play some volleyball, and maybe have a few beers. I can't wait.
