Actually, there was a power outage in Ft. Worth where the server is physically located. The server itself was running fine the whole time, but the power outage knocked out the T-1 lines to the data center. While I was on the phone with the tech support guy (who was directly across the street from the data center), the fire department came in and evacuated them. Not sure why.

Not like mass evacuations, but people are being evacuated out of buildings and homes near cresting rivers in North Texas. It could have been that the building our server is in, is by one of said rivers.
