i finally broke down and bought a bigger flat screen monitor for the desktop

what the heck do you do with the old one? are there any hazards that preclude just tossing it? or is there some place that recycles old ones?

[email protected] Jim Rossman is the tech guy. There are a couple of guys in metroplex that will take your old computer stuff and give it to people who can use it. There was an article in the DMN on this last Fall, I think.

On topic with computers. I was given a computer from the ex several yrs ago and is has serious problems. Viruses and what not. Other than using word and excel it gets no use. Even pinball wont work. Now that I've finished school at some point I want to purchase a new one. Aside from deleting all of MY documents. What should I do with it other than put it in the dumpster? Serious question here people.

remove the drive, call a local vo-tech to see if they have use for it

you can do the same with your monitor jk, check with a local vo-tech or look for computer parts recycling adds...
