Ive been wearing contacts for most all my life.
<Don't ask you inconsiderate hillbillys>

So, Im getting kinda tired of popping them out at night, putting them in in the morning.
Plus, when you get something in your eye, you just can't rub them and get it out. You just kinda have to suffer till you can pop it out and wash it off. That gets inconvenient when your outside the house.

So, Ive been thinking of giving them up and going to regular glasses.
At my age, I need some frames that make me look younger, or smarter, or sexier, or................well, hell, ..... alive.

Other than spending a night at the Holiday Inn Express, the SO is the only other place I know where you can not only make a copycat thread, but get some of life's usuful information.

I'm open to suggestions.

Glasses make you look smarter. It's the opposite of always wearing a ballcap to hide something.

Go to several places that sell glasses and frames. Have a sales associate help you try out some frames. Good sales associates should offer advice on frame shape and color that work with your hair color, face structure, etc. Go from there. Don't go in set on a certain style of frames, because they might not look right on you. Find out what works; trust the opinions of cute chicks. ;)

Or LASIK. Then you don't have to wear glasses OR worry about contacts.

i wore glasses for quite a while before getting lasik about a year ago. and having worked at an optometrist office for 6 years, i've always been impressed with armani's frames. if thats too expensive, you can go with the emperio armani for a bit cheaper, but its still a quality frame. in my opinion, i've always thought rimless glasses look the best. a bit more sophisticated. something in either black or gunmetal. and if you do go with rimless, opt for the "edge polishing", especially for you folks with higher prescriptions. and if your prescription is high, like a high + something, then always get the polycarbonate lenses, as they are way thinner. well, i've talked enough. :D

Actually, my last set of glasses were Oakley frames. Surprisingly good frames. I'm not crazy about their sunglasses, but the regular glasses are pretty solid.

they aren't bad. nike has some decent ones too. brooks bros has a lot i like, as does D&G, although some of their's can get a bit too flashy for my taste. i'm currently rocking some ecko sunglasses. weird i know. but they're a steal at 15 bucks my cost.
