Anyone buy a car from Carmax?

i came very close to buying my last car from them, but found the same make/model at a lexus dealership for about 800 cheaper, so i went there

but i've heard very good things about them

I bought a truck from them 2 years ago. It appears they price their vehicles so you can get full financing on total cost (vehicle, tags, taxes, etc) They also got my tag for me, I drove back a couple of days later to pick it up.

After I had my truck for about a year I had one warranty item to be fixed, water pump, and they handled that extremely well.

All in all pretty satisfied with overall operation and service provided. Would buy from them again.

I have not used them personally, but my buddy did and the Mrs. and I rode along. He called ahead with his SSN and the make and model of car he wanted (researched the inventory via the interweb) and told them he was on his way.

When we got there the financing was ready to go and they had selected a car that very similar to his request, BUT cheaper. He test drove it and bought it.

All in all the entire time there was about 1 hr. Incredible service, very nice people and they really do the warranty work in a timely manner.

I HIGHLY recommend CARMAX.
