They're everywhere. The tarantulas are fun to watch scurrying across the road.

Tarantulas??? Fun??? The only fun thing I can imagine seeing is the guts splattering as they are crushed to death for their wicked spider ways. Damn snakes, too. :mad:

I'll watch the bunnies, though. :)

I had no idea SE OK had tarantulas or scorpions. Yet another reason why SE OK is the scourge of Oklahoma (no offense OleVet). My family is from Antlers/Durant, I always hated going down there for visits. =(

How'd you know I was afraid of snakes? Most spiders aren't a problem for me, but the giant *** ones that can rip your throat out sure as hell do. Every snake scares the bejesus out of me. And fish.

I had no idea SE OK had tarantulas or scorpions. Yet another reason why SE OK is the scourge of Oklahoma (no offense OleVet). My family is from Antlers/Durant, I always hated going down there for visits. =(


There are tarantulas and scorpions in OKC.

did you know tarantula's can jump straight up in the air about eye level?

Dude, there are scorpions and tarantulas all over around Ft Gibson, Muskogee, tahlaquah. The place I've seen the most at one time was around hominy(sp?) which is North of Tulsa. So yes, they are all over the state.

If a tarantula is crawling up your pant leg then it would be normal to let out a little "what the ****?" and shake him out. If a snake is sliding up your side while you're in bed, it would be normal to jump outta bed and turn the light on so you could catch him and put him back outside.

Freaking out upon the sight of a tarantula or snake is somewhere on the other side of being gay. It's gay squared.

I have never in my life seen a tarantula or scorpion around here. I'm going to have to consult some outdoorsy type locals to confirm this story.

I doubt there's tarantulas or scorpions where you cower under the desk.

There's freaking tarantulas and scorpions everywhere from South America to Kansas.
